Written for the short film of the same name produced by Jenn Tran, the release focuses primarily on textural sounds, alluding to nostalgic feelings that become both complex and confused. The sonic explorations give voice to the non-human characters that feature in the film, whilst also in their own right, conjure notions of dreamlike scenes.

“The overlay of live footage and animation prompted a mixing of real and synthetic sounds. Instruments and field recordings are augmented with effects or layered with electronic sounds to create a world somewhere between the remembered and the present.”
